Parsimony 2012/2019

This is a reworking of a series made in 2012 of parsnips grown in my vegetable garden. Due to deficiencies in the soil they were a disaster as a food crop, but showed potential as photographic studies as the roots had forked and distended and taken on distinctly humanoid shapes. I left them for some months to dry out and take on a more textured surface before I made the images. In this revisiting of the files I have re-sized and toned the images.
